This foil cutter did a very good job cutting the foil but it broke after 4 months of usage. Same problem as most foil cutters - fragile plastic parts.

After reading the only review, I wasn't sure whether to give this product a try.It seemed as if the reviewer had no idea how to use a vacuum wine stopper, could not figure it out, and was unwilling to ask anyone.Given that hope (and for the great price) I went ahead and ordered the wine stopper and I'm really glad that I did.

This looks 10 times better than the Vacu Vin stopper that I own and works equally well!You could have it out out a fancy party and it would still look fabulous.Also newer Vacu Vin stoppers -- the ones with the dimple in the middle -- can be used with this product. I played with it a lot last night and what fun!What a great stopper!

For those who don't know how to use the product, place a stopper in the bottle with the large end out.Place the opening of the vacuum device straight down covering the stopper.Then you hold the bottom where the stopper is with one hand and pump the air out in an up-and-down motion with the other hand.By removing the air from the bottle, the wine can last for a couple of weeks without turing into vinegar.

Do yourself a favor and buy one.Also buy them as gifts.People who love wine will be pleased and for this price you really cannot go wrong.The stoppers alone are worth the price!This is one of the best deals I've ever seen on Amazon and I shop here all of the time!

This is a very cute apron, however for the price I think it should bebetter made. The stitching on one of the pockets is already coming out, and I don't use the pockets! I knew it would be made of regular material (thin, not heavy duty,) but I was hoping it would at least be well made. It's a quick fix, but for the price I expected better.

Review of Kuhn Rikon Vase Spice Grinder

I was searching all over for a spice grinder that would work for grinding my flax seed and other small spices if needed. When I saw that this product was available I instantly pre-ordered it and couldn't wait to get it. As usual, Amazon.com shipped a little before the official date and the item arrived in great condition.

Regarding usage, I love the 3 inserts that it comes with because it allows me to interchange those small spices that I described above without having to dump the previous spice/seed, clean the container, and re-fill it with the new spice/seed to be ground. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is because the flax seed does seem to get stuck in the little mechanism just slightly and therefore makes it kind of difficult to get a good grind. I have it adjusted so that it grinds the oily flax seed at the finest setting and that seems to do the job. Other than that I have no complaints. Overall, I think it's a great little grinder and the added containers with lids is a great bonus for anyone who has small amounts of multiple spices to grind.

Out of three other ones that broke, this one has lasted very well. I saw the bad review, so I had to comment. My son bought this for me a year and a half ago for my birthday. I use it a lot! It has held up perfectly. I have not had to replace the "worm" with the extra one that was included. It says not to use it on rubber corks, but I have, and it has been ok. I do store it in the box,not in my kitchen drawer.

I received this peeler from a fellow chef who sold knives and peelers in his spare time to other chefs.He'd stocked a bunch but couldn't get any one - chefs or not - to buy one because of the weird shape, and had resorted to giving them away for free.I was suspicious of it at first, too.It sat at the bottom of my toolbox for months until the peeler at home gave out, and this one got pulled into rotation.It does take a little getting used to (you peel away from yourself, vs. towards yourself, and at a slight angle), but you get the hang of it quickly and not only do you peel faster, but it's much safer.I accidentally threw out my peeler and had to go back to a regular swivel peeler, but now I can't stand it.I'm going back to Victorinox.

Review of Estate Wine Opener Set

I've had this wine opener for about 6 months and I find I rarely use it because it is somewhat cumbersome compared to other hand-held wine openers that I have.The main problem is that the corking mechanism is not vertically adjustable so the bottle of wine has to dangle precariously in the air while you perform the operation.

If you could adjust the mechanism to fit the height of each bottle of wine, this thing would be 5 stars.

Other than that one complaint, I do find it to be very nice looking.We leave it on display with a nice bottle of wine resting on the wooden base.It's a very classy look.

I thought I owned the best wine bottle opener in the world in my little double screw wooden gemI also own of those gas powered wine openers. It works well but taking the cork off can be a mean trick. Plus the loud "pop" sounds like a bottle of champagne.Then I received this electric wine opener as a gift.The only reason I kept it was because I have one of the Wine Saver bottle sealers and they looked a lot alike.I put it on the shelf and did not ever plan to use it.I mean, it was just a corkscrew in a tube.I had as friend over on Valentine's Day and she wanted to see it work.W O W!It was the slickest thing i EVER USED.I mean, it not only took the cork out with a minimum of noise, but it extracted the rock with another push of the button.No loud POOP like the gas unit, and no cork in the bottle. Review of Oenophilia OenoPull Deluxe Corkscrew and Storage Pouch

My girlfriend won't shut up about this thing. Every time we have wine it's, "I love this thing," this, and "I love this thing," that.

Personally, I prefer the waiter's cork screw because it's gadget-ty and takes up less room in the drawer, but because she is constantly going on and on about the rabbit-style I have to give it the full 5-stars.

...and if you're hosting a wine tasting, oh man, you'd better have one of these or you'll be checking into the free clinic with carpal tunnel and you'll probably still be drunk.

She loves how the big handles are easy to hold. She loves how reversing the motion of the lever extracts the cork from the screw effortlessly. She loves opening bottles, again and again and again. Maybe she should just go marry it.

I'm a fan of this type corkscrew.However, don't fall for the hype around a "well known" name or the advertised "German construction."My reaction when I unpacked this corkscrew was "what a cheap rip-off".I was replacing a wing type corkscrew that had lasted over ten years, cost ten bucks, and felt substantial when used.This corkscrew meets the cost criteria, but has a cheap, tinny feel.I wondered if it would break before I got the cork off (it didn't).Still, I'm using the standard bartender corkscrew and will be buying a wing type from a store where I can see the quaility before I buy.For the workmanship and quality, this corkscrew is overpriced at seven bucks.

A good conversation piece.For the money, it's a great deal and it looks really cool.This is an authentic replica.And that's really part of the problem with this corkscrew.Modern corkscrews are hollow shafted and follow the spiral down into the cork.This beast will get your cork out and look classy doing it but it's got a bit like an auger and chews away.Kind of reminds me of a well driller.The handles are a tad bit loose but they work.All in all, this will appeal to American Civil War reenactors and staunch traditionalists.The average person wanting to open a bottle of wine would be better served to buy a laguiole type corkscrew.
